Just a Lone House in China

From the Guardian: “A house sits awkwardly in the middle of a newly built road in Wenling, Zhejiang province in China. An elderly couple refused to sign an agreement to allow their house to be demolished. They say that compensation offered is not enough to cover rebuilding costs. Photograph: China Daily/Reuters”

I guess this would be a good argument against eminent domain? Seriously, that’s one crazy picture and I love how the Chinese government (or whomever) responsible for said road doesn’t give a single fuck. Impressive in its own way.
