Walking Dead Finds Its Leads

Speaking of AMC shows, the zombie-survivalist tale Walking Dead, the one we’ve covered quite a bit around here, has been given the green light for a six-episode first season, set to premiere in October.

It’s also cast Andrew Lincoln as the lead character of police officer Rick Grimes. Lincoln is best known as “Mark” from Love, Actually. He’s a decent enough actor, but a let down from the rumors that Johnny Lee Miller was going to be cast as Rick.

Also cast in the Frank Darabont series, is Jon Bernthal as Shane — you know, the dude with the big nose from The Pacific and the lout with the heart of gold on CBS’s long-ago cancelled sitcom The Class.
