Not sure how many prequels to Battlestar Galactica we need, but SyFy will roll them out anyways. TVSquad’s Maureen Ryan broke the news that Syfy will air Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome in late 2011 or early 2012. The two-hour TV movie, which could serve as the pilot for another ongoing series, will focus on the time when William “Husker” Adama was a Viper pilot.
Caprica takes place about 40 years before the events of BSG, and Blood and Chrome will be about 20 years previously. Sadly, there’s doesn’t seem to a show that takes place 20 years after BSG, when Adama is old and living on Earth. The sad thing is even though this is completely superfluous, I’ll still watch it.
