SyFy Working on Another BSG Prequel

Not sure how many prequels to Battlestar Galactica we need, but SyFy will roll them out anyways.  TVSquad’s Maureen Ryan broke the news that Syfy will air Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome in late 2011 or early 2012. The two-hour TV movie, which could serve as the pilot for another ongoing series, will focus on the time when William “Husker” Adama was a Viper pilot.

Caprica takes place about 40 years before the events of BSG, and Blood and Chrome will be about 20 years previously.  Sadly, there’s doesn’t seem to a show that takes place 20 years after BSG, when Adama is old and living on Earth.  The sad thing is even though this is completely superfluous, I’ll still watch it.  [via io9]
