NBC Expanding Thursday Comedy Block to Three Hours

I don’t know who would have the patience to sit and watch six back-to-back sitcoms on Thursday night, but I guess with Hulu and DVR it’s no big thang.  Starting January 20th, the Peacock is bringing back Parks & Recreation and adding Perfect Couples to their Thursday night lineup, which is already solid to begin with.

8-8:30 p.m. – Community
8:30-9 p.m. – Perfect Couples
9-9:30 p.m. – The Office
9:30-10 p.m. – Parks and Recreation
10-10:30 p.m. – 30 Rock
10:30-11 p.m. – Outsourced

Community is by far the funniest show on television, right now, and really the only consistent show in that lineup, aside from Parks and Rec, which has really found its sea legs.  Outsourced has had its moments, but it feels like both The Office and 30 Rock are in the twilight on their runs.  Neither is all that funny, but we keep watching because we remember a time when those two shows were brilliant.  I know nothing about Perfect Couples, but if I had to guess, I’d say it’s some sort of Friends ripoff.  [via Sidesplitter]
