We’re not cheese heads, thank you very much. We’re not from Wisconsin and we’re not even sure if die hard fans of String Cheese Incident refer to themselves as such. But we do know that seemingly every jam band designated next in line for world supremacy has their fans refer to themselves as (name of band)-heads. Not much for inspiration, we know.We always liked the idea of their music: a panache of psychedelia, bluegrass and jazz. At their best, SCI were adventurous, however, we always wished they would just stick to bluegrass and keep the jams to a minimum.

Green Bay Packer fans probably would toss brats at the bluegrass lovin’ jam band fans for coopting their designation. Anyway, SCI is in all likelihood, calling it quits after this summer. They’ve just announced a bunch of tour dates and they’re probably gonna go out with a few extended thirty minute jams. Or maybe a bang. I dunno. Either way their shows, er, incidents, are always a good time.
