Seems Thom Yorke, Johnny Greenwood and company have debuted a few new songs whilst on tour in Europe, including one named “Super Collider” and a cover of Portishead’s “The Rip.” Hypeful has the Mp3s if you want to add them to your collection. Thanks to Lucas for the heads up.
“Super Collider” was played at both Dublin shows and was only previously soundchecked.

Coachella Music Festival has announced its initial lineup for version 2008. Well they haven’t announced anything, but sources have confirmed that Portishead will be headlining. Also scheduled to make appearances will be: Rilo Kiley, My Morning Jacket, The Verve, Jack Johnson and The Breeders. The official announcement should come later today. We’ll update when that hits in the LA Times.
Coachella, which will be held April 25-27 at Empire Polo Field in Indio, Calif., will be Portishead’s first show on American soil in nearly a decade. The pioneering U.K. act has a new, as-yet-untitled album due in April internationally, with U.S. details still pending.
The newly reunited Verve will also be touching down Stateside for the first time since splitting in 1999, while the Raconteurs, featuring the White Stripes’ Jack White, will be plugging their sophomore album, due in late spring or early summer.
This makes us ask? Does Jack White ever take a day off? It seems like he moves from one project to another without taking a rest or a much needed vacay.
