My Morning Jacket

NPR is streaming ’Muppets: The Green Album‘ a collection of Muppets tunes featuring contributions from Andrew Bird, My Morning Jacket, Weezer, OK Go and Rachel Yamagata. The only beef? Instead of The Fray covering “Mahna Mahna” the album producers should have gotten Menomena, whose band name was inspired by the Muppet’s song.

Big week over at NPR’s First Listen: In addition to the newest from My Morning Jacket, the new Death Cab for Cutie album and Cults’ debut album are available for your streaming pleasure. Not sure which one to start with. Just kidding, obviously MMJ.

Front man and chief songwriter Jim James is amusingly agile at connecting weird imagery to lyrical snippets meditating [...]
