But joking aside, the flick which stars King Awkward, Michael Cera and gothickly cute Kat Denning, as a pair of teens who inadvertently get caught up in a wild first date over one night in NYC. Nothing special about the premise, but the chemistry looks like it’s there and these movies sometimes have a certain appeal. Yes, the whole teenagers find everlasting love over one-night was played out back when Linklater did it with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy (okay so they weren’t teenagers), but still.

This has a poor man’s Cameron Crowe feel to it. Is that a bad thing?
