What’d you do with the Citroen
The new GT by Citroën. I can’t read French, but I think it roughly translates into “not your grandfathers Citroën beyotch.” Could be wrong though.

Wall-E comes out today and it’s getting boffo reviews, scoring a 91 on Metacritic and a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.
In that spirit, Vulture ranked the best Pixar movies and they are just plain wrong.? It’s not an easy thing to do, since every Pixar movie is considered an animated classic and wins the Oscar for Animated Feature, etc.
Finding Nemo is without a doubt #1 in any discussion followed incredibly close by The Incredibles and Ratatouille. That’s the top tier, including, perhaps, Toy Story 2. The second tier includes Monsters, Inc., Toy Story and A Bug’s Life.
Unfortunately, Cars will always bring up the rear in any discussion ranking Pixar’s film catalogue.? This also doesn’t take into account their short film work, just feature lengths.? And if the reviews for Wall-E are any indication we might have to overhaul this list after the weekend.

We all sort of know that it’s a dog and pony show when Congress parades the big oil company CEO’s to discuss their record profits and the soaring cost of gasoline. Rather than develop a legitimate energy policy, everybody knows that Congress would rather have the appearance of our best interests instead of rolling up their sleeves, getting dirty and doing the work we voted them to do. (ed. note: After watching John Adams it’s hard not to be filled with the bile of revolution and the notion that it is time to take our country back, that things are going to break very soon)
How else to explain their fondness for Roger Clemens, steroids, and whether or not the New England Patriots cheated. It’s all a sham.
One thing that the traditional media and our elected officials never seem to mention is that nearly two-thirds of our oil energy consumption is directly related to transportation costs, according to the annual energy review. That’s where the squeeze is coming from. Granted, clean and affordable energy needs to be developed for lots of other things. But people are feeling the crunch at the pump.
How is it that no one is demanding more from their car companies? Isn’t it sort of a joke that we celebrate the Toyota Prius when it only gets 35-40 mpg? Car companies are still using essentially the same combustible engine that was used when cars were first invented. What’s the analogy? We don’t use whale oil to light our houses anymore.
All of that is preamble to say that one car company is thinking outside the traditional mode.
Tesla Motors wants you to know that we don’t have to settle for the same old. We can demand more from companies to innovate and make our lives better. Imagine an 100% electric vehicle that goes 0-60 in under four seconds, that can be sexy, that can travel 220 miles on a single engine charge, that takes about 4 hours to charge and costs only pennies per mile to charge.

This might go down as either the craziest marketing campaign this side of New Coke or one of the most brilliant. But Malaysian car company Proton has developed plans to create cars aimed specifically at Muslims. So instead of say, having a roomy interior and an Mp3 player plugin or even getting great gas mileage, this company is betting the bank of having special features ranging from “a compass pointing to Mecca and a dedicated space to keep a copy of the Koran and a headscarf.”
Right. No word yet on whether or not there will be room for suicide bombs. We keed we keed. So we couldn’t resist going there. Sorry to all of our Muslim friends.
Proton is the most dominant car on the streets [in Malaysia] but the company has suffered recently after the government allowed more foreign cars to be imported.
The firm has been in talks recently with VW about a takeover by the German car giant.
Sweet! Nazis working together with fundamentalist terrorists. Sorry, I’ve just been told that is not the case at all. Actually, the car looks pretty snazzy.?? Kinda like a Hyundai or Mitsubishi.? Nice clean lines and everything.
