Bow down and recognize the glory of God in Legos. Can’t really tell if this is tongue firmly planted in cheek or if this is serious, but either way it’s insanity is it’s genius. From the creative mind of the Rev. Brendan Powell Smith. Be forewarned though that perusing through The Brick Testament is not for the faint of heart, nor is it for those short on time. I could spend hours looking through the illustrations. Though I’m not much of a Christian, this is certainly something I can get behind. To wit:

A Florida teenager stumbled upon the fossils of a prehistoric Mammoth while taking pictures at Boca Ciega Millenium Park. According to the report on MSNBC (via AP) the 16-year-old mistook the football sized tooth for human bones.

Paleontology and archaeology experts have confirmed the find, and recent digging at the site has turned up teeth and bones from a second mammoth, giant sloths, camels, turtles with shells up to 6-feet-long, saber-toothed cats and giant armadillos the size of Volkswagen Beetles. Scientists believe the remains are between 10,000 and 100,000 years old.

If you’re scoring at home that’s approximately 5,000 years older than the creation of the planet, according to the Bible. Now I’m not saying that evolution is in fact correct since science is no more a matter of faith than religion is, but for those basing the history of the Earth on the estimates of the Bible it might be time to update the ole’book. I don’t understand why this isn’t common practice. Wouldn’t it make sense to have Bible 2.0 and just constantly publish updates for the book as seen fit? I think this could be a good idea.
