Voyager 1 and 2 approaching interstellar space


Voyager 1 and 2 have passed through the “termination shock” boundary — a magnetic bubble that partially protects the solar system from cosmic rays.  Currently, they two probes are traveling through the heliosheath before moving into the heliopause.
