NPR’s Planet Money looks at the often complex global process behind making a t-shirt in a five part special.
We flew drones over Mississippi. We got mugged in Chittagong, Bangladesh. We met people whom we’ll never forget — the actual people who make our clothing. At every location we had radio reporters and videographers.
Part one is above on cotton. Others look at the people involved, how shipping boxes are made, the machines involved, and finally the person buying the shirt. Kind of incredible to see the global process behind making a t-shirt.
