The Conservative Future

In the wake of Obama’s resounding reelection, David Brooks examines the future of the Conservative movement in America and how it could impact the GOP in the years ahead. Unfortunately, the people he highlights are all thinkers and writers and not, you know, the dumbass politicians.

There is a divide between the two and sadly, it feels like the difference between them is the difference between Andrew Sullivan/Ross Douhat and Paul Ryan/Marco Rubio.

If Rubio is the future of the GOP, then it scares me that its future is either a moron or a coward who can’t/won’t take a stand on how old the Earth is.
