NASA Unveils Solar System Atlas

NASA has released a new solar system atlas, composed of more than 18,000 individual images, of more than 560 million stars, galaxies and asteroids — many never even seen before. The atlas images were taken by the Wide-field Survey Explorer (WISE), NASA’s infrared space telescope. A quick guide to WISE’s all-sky archive is available online.

Above is a photo of the known sky, with the Milky Way galaxy running horizontally across the map in blue.
