The Paywall Experiment

Ouch!: The Observer wonders, “how many people have signed up to pay $5 a week, or $260 a year, to get unfettered access to” three months after the media company installed a paywall, similar to what the New York Times is mulling right now.  “The answer: 35 people. As in fewer than three dozen. As in a decent-sized elementary-school class.” This does not bode well for the Grey Lady. [via]
