Massive Traffic Jam in China

I’ll never complain about my commute again: “In this photo taken on Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, truck drivers play cards in the shade of a truck jammed on an entrance ramp to the Beijing-Tibet Highway in Guoleizhuang township, in north China’s Hebei province. The massive traffic jam that stretches for dozens of miles and hit its 10-day mark on Tuesday stems from road construction in Beijing that won’t be finished until the middle of next month, an official said.”

A 10-day traffic jam?!? Holy shnikes.  As the photo above illustrates, Tom Vanderbuilt notes that the jam is on its way to becoming a small settlement.
