ISP Companies Not Worried by Google’s Plan

What else were you expecting them to say, that they were in fact worried?  The truth is, Google will probably never become a full-fledged ISP, but if their plans for a 1 GB/sec. fiber network makes consumers happy and forces ISPs to react, well that’s worrisome for them.

“We’ll keep an eye on it,” Cox Communications Inc. spokesman David Grabert told the WSJ. “Obviously, anytime there’s anyone new in the marketplace, it’s something that we monitor. It sounds like they’re positioning it as an experiment, so we’ll be watching to see what happens.”
