IE9 Out in Beta

Internet Explorer 9 beta is out today and though the UI looks a bit too Chromey for me (really wish they would push it to a unique directions), this is a major step up for Redmond.

Be interesting to see how this compares with the Firefox 4 beta that I’ve been using for a few months now, which I’m loving more and more.  Actually, so much so, that it’s become my regular browser again, putting Chrome on the back burner.

Anyways, to see what IE9 is capable of, in terms of HTML5, CSS3, etc. check out Lost World’s Fairs, which was built by Microsoft to show off what you can do with web fonts and typekit.  Designers Jason Santa Maria, Frank Chimero and Naz Hamid really hit it out of the park.
