Senate Passes Health Care Bill, 60-39

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was passed early this morning. You may go read it now, if you like.  Harry Reid (who briefly voted “no” for the bill he has fought for in a moment of wtf?) and President Obama sacrificed all of their political capital to make this happen and though the bill won’t please anyone on the right and anyone on the far left, this is pretty momentous.

Now, the House and Senate just have to reconcile their two bills and President Obama has to sign it into legislation.  So, you know, this is practically a done deal.
