The Strokes, “Under the Cover of Darkness”

Here’s the funny thing about the Strokes — there’s never  been a more influential band that has never mattered less after their first album. It’s weird. The band has been fairly uninteresting since their debut, but so many young bands were influenced or changed by their first album.

Anyways, will they become relevant again when their fourth studio album, Angles, drops March 22 (via RCA)? Hard to say, but nothing I’ve heard so far from the album indicates that will be the case.
