8in8, comprised of Amanda Palmer, her husband Neil Gaimon, Ben Folds and OK Go’s Damian Kulash, is “tomorrow’s supergroup today.” The foursome got together to write and record eight songs in eight hours.
You can buy six of those songs as a record for the low, low price of $1. How great would it have been to watch the live stream of this event? Too bad it’s not available on YouTube, or at least a highlight reel.
The event, which took place on April 25, was a benefit for the Berklee College of Music in Boston. The music college has a program named Berklee City Music, which provides free music education to underserved teens.
Here’s an Mp3 for your listening pleasure.
