But what this does signal is that Apple intended to purchase lala.com to eventually (one would assume) roll their technology into the iTunes store. It would be nice if Apple could take this moment to create an online media store for music, movies, books, etc. and create a streamlined desktop media player. One that isn’t so goddamn clunky — so, ahem, get rid of the damn genius functionality.
I don’t know if that’s their intention, but I’d like to see it happen.
