WOXY’s Top 500 modern rock songs

WOXY.com  has a great tradition (20 years and counting) of counting down the top modern rock songs every Memorial Day weekend.

This year, the station is counting down the top tracks during the week. The countdown just started this morning, and it lasts through Friday.  Tuesday will see them go from #500 – #376; Wednesday is #375 – #251; Thursday is #250 – #126; Friday takes us home with #125 – #1.

If you couldn’t tell that’s a whopping 125 slices of face melting rawk.  Right now I’ve got Jim Carrol’s “Those are People Who Died” piping in to my ears.

Bookmark the feature over at WOXY Vintage. If you miss anything, the whole countdown will be archived and offered on demand.

Radiohead‘s “Creep” landed at No. 1 last year.  See who takes the top spot this year.  Regardless, it’s a great trip through rawk history and may even introduce you to some new favorites.
