In it’s own twisted and hilarious way, Adam Sandler’s “The Chanukah Song” has kind of developed into a Holiday classic.  You know there’s something about the song’s joyous celebration of Judaism when your Catholic relatives hum along to it throughout December.

Neil Diamond?  That guy is just a stone cold killer.  A Cherry Cherry Christmas is the name of his new record, which contains covers of “A White Christmas”, “Winter Wonderland”, “Joy to the World”, “Jingle Bell Rock” … and, yup, you guessed it! — as if the title of the post didn’t already give it away. Anyway, he lends a certain playful gravitas to Sandler’s goofy ditty.

Diamond posted the above animated video on his website, probably to hold over his rabid, cougar-heavy fanbase until his performance during the annual Christmas in Washington celebration, airing Dec. 20 on TNT.  Also?  The Diamond gets his pimp on with Twitter.

Who knew that one day Neil Diamond would be covering Adam Sandler — and not the other way around?

Friend of mine forwarded me a hilarious post about this song and the hidden meaning of other songs, like Forever in Blue Jeans. LMAO…..you should check it out:
