Jason Segel performs with Maroon 5
To be honest, I’m a little speechless. But, on Saturday Maroon 5 played a concert at St. John’s University and Jason Segel came out to play a few songs with Adam Levine. It’s early, I haven’t had coffee yet, so my brain is still trying to make sense of this.
“During the intermission between Fitz and the Tantrums and Maroon 5, Adam Levine brought out a special unannounced guest to the stage which really brought the house down. The special guest turned out to be Jason Segel (you might know him from How I Met Your Mother, I Love You Man, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Knocked Up etc.) and Jason ended up playing the piano and singing a couple of songs from his recent movies (he’s actually a very talented musician and a hilarious song writer),” writes Herman Young.
This is the type of bizarre-O surprise that I love. There’s absolutely no way you could expect or plan for something this delish. Anyway, who wants to call the number and see if it’s viral marketing or his actual phone numer? 315-329-6673 [via]

I never knew! Jason is so great- I especially appreciate him in Freaks and Geeks… I really wish it didn't get canceled so soon.
If you guys want to check out more indie artists, there is a great website called Brite Revolution- http://www.briterevolution.com. Lorien, Katie Herzig, Joy Williams, and more artists have exclusive music downloads on the site. Hope you can check it out!

[...] curious as to what’s up with Jason Segel, now that he’s performed the same song not just with Maroon 5 but now with (Oscar-darlings) The Swell Season? Is he laying pipe for a potential musical-comedy [...]
