Blind Pilot Announce New Tour Dates

Portland’s Blind Pilot have just announced a slew of new fall tour dates with singer-songwriter Laura Veirs opening up.  You can’t really go wrong with either of these two, as their most recent albums, 3 Rounds and a Sound and Saltbreakers, respectively, have been two of my favorite albums over the past few years.

Blind Pilot has really gone from a band that I admire for, as Heather Browne puts it succinctly, “their rich and bittersweet tunes layered with gorgeous instrumentation, and those rootsy leanings. Frontman Israel Nebeker’s evocative voice just keeps drawing me back, no matter how many times I see them live,” into a band that I flat out love and adore.  And that has everything to do with multi-instrumentalist and I believe, new full-time band member, Kati Claborn.  I’ve seen them in a myriad of ways (lineups/venues) over the past year and Kati continuously surprises me with how many layers she adds to the band.
