I’ll never forget what the legendary Seamus Galvin once said about MMJ. He said, “they’re the only band that can melt your face and break your heart” or something like that. So yeah, I’ve already forgotten what he said. But shouldn’t that be what every band attempts to do?

Also, I need Ryan Stewart or Will Shepherd to read that quote in their best Seamus Galvin impersonation . . .

Saw ‘em at Radio City last night. They really fucked that place up. The Dondante is still lingering in my head. The last hour was FACEMELTING shit, no doubt. I think I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder today.

I must say, I’m still not in love with some of the new material. I think that made the show really really good but not spectacular. But none of it is bad. I just don’t think it measures up with the older stuff. In any event, it didn’t matter, because if you play 2 hours and 40 minutes straight, you’re allowed a song or two that doesn’t match up to the rest of the show. Unreal.

Sitting fourth row for MMJ @ RCMH is something I won’t forget for a LONG time.
