Danger Mouse produces new Beck album
The ever enigmatic Mr. Beck Hanson is up to his old tricks by enlisting Danger Mouse to helm the ship for his next record. Hopefully, Beck will get his inner-polyester suit on this time around.
Though he’s continued to drop solid records, with a few excellent songs on them, there’s been something lacking on his last few releases. Granted, the somber Sea Changes was ace, but it wasn’t much fun now was it.
Danger Mouse is one-half of Gnarls Barkley, which is poised to dominated the summer all over again. He’s also staying busy by producing albums for The Black Keys, The Rapture, Gorillaz and Ike Turner.
We want more of this. It’s time for the funky white boy to come back.
