The wisping beauty of birds in flight

Andrew Bird – “Spare-Ohs” (Mp3)

Chicago violinist, singer, songwriter Andrew Bird composes music that will stop you in your tracks.? You know those moments when you’re outside and the sun is so strong and hot, forcing you to squint as you amble along the creek and out of nowhere you glimpse the day glow color of a Bluejay or Canary and for a brief second it’s the most extraordinary thing in life?? There also might be a tree canopy somewhere in this image.? This song is languid and sounds effortless, as if it just glides through space like a paper airplane.

I always think Nervous Tic Motion of the Head to the Left if the greatest song Radiohead never wrote. It’s cool how much Bird’s voice sounds like Thom Yorke’s yawlp.
