Radiohead LP7 “In Rainbows” ready for Oct. 10

I’m so hyperventilating now. After the hoax that was radioheadlp7.com this past week, it seems that the actual band has finally completed remixing and has announced to the world through their own blog that the album will be available to download on Oct. 10.

Hello everyone.

Well, the new album is finished, and it’s coming out in 10 days;

We’ve called it In Rainbows.

Love from us all.
Jonny

Sweet. But it gets better as these things often do. According to In Rainbows.com the album will be available in digital download or deluxe boxset, both available for pre-order now. Over at Billboard, they’re reporting that Radiohead has decided that fans can name their own price with they download the new album.

“It’s up to you,” reads a disclaimer on the checkout screen.

“Hello everyone. Well, the new album is finished, and it’s coming out in 10 days,” guitarist Jonny Greenwood said in a characteristically nonchalant post on the site. “In Rainbows” will also be sold in a “discbox,” which will feature the new album on CD and double-vinyl, as well as a second disc with seven additional songs, photos, artwork and lyrics. The materials will be encased in a hardback book and slipcase.

The discbox will sell for ? 40 and will ship “on or before” Dec. 3, according to the site. As for the new material, much of it was road tested on tour last year, although “Weird Fishes,” “Last Flowers” and “Faust Arp” appear to be songs written more recently.

These guys are just operating on a totally different plain of existence, if anyone didn’t already know that after listing to say, um, their past four albums.
