We’ve been huge fans of Patrick Watson now, since they made quite the splash in Boston opening up for Elvis Perkins back in February. It goes without saying, how excited we were they got nominated for Canada’s Polaris Prize and even though they are matched up against some big heavy weights, including Arcade Fire, Besnard Lakes and Feist, we think their album Closer to Paradise deserves to take home the award.

Top to bottom it’s a work of beauty, not too over produced, but a work of sonic wonder. The boys have just released a new video for the single “Luscious Life.” It’s a follow up to “The Great Escape” and visually, the video is a trip through the cosmos with crackling animation.
