New Dizzee Rascal (ft. Lily Allen) - “Wanna Be”
Sounds like we could have the latest and greatest summer jam on our hands, this time courtesy of bloke’s Dizzee Rascal and that ever cheeky Lily Allen. The track has a nice bouncing reggae beat to it, with Dizz’s trademark grimey, off-kilter flow. The new track comes courtesy of Occupation and will be off Dizz’s new album Maths & English.
Bonus points for Lil’s singing during the chorus, “so you wanna be a gangster, tell me just one thing. What do you know about being a hard man … you don’t have it so you might as well quit.” Always love the back and forth flow between the MC and the it-girl of the moment. It’s the sort of thing Gwen did when she was trying to ditch No Doubt at the door.
