Holy Hail will be back stateside

Holy Hail, hailing from Brooklyn, are coming back stateside for a few dates. They’ve got a show in hometown Brooklyn and then are shooting up to The Hub for a night at Great Scott’s on July 7.
This is great news for fans of the new wave, country-tinged, dance, rock outfit. It’s an interesting stew and that it somehow works in a fun, interesting way only boggles the eardrums. The band has only released a few singles and The Big Guns EP on Kanine Records (the same label as Grizzly Bear’s Horn of Plenty album).
Holy Hail is a four piece outfit and the latest project from Cat Hartwell. Whom you may remember was partially responsible for the summer jam “Camel Toe” back in 2003 as a member of the old skool b-girl group FannyPack. Cat’s shifted gears considerably since then.
Check out this great interview the band did with Room 13.
Give a few of their songs a listen over at their Myspace page.
Check out this crazy video for their tune “Born of a Star.”

And just in case you missed this tune back in ‘03
If you’re in Boston and want to check out Holy Hail, drop us a line at The Oyster offices and we’ll meet up beforehand for drinks and good times.
