Sure, sure we loved NIN’s original version, and The Man in Black’s broke our heart. But leave it to Kermit the Frog to take it to a new level. He’s dropping an acoustic version of “Hurt.” The video starts out silly with Kermit smoking butts and only dovetails from there.

Word to the wise, you might want to cover your eyes when Fozzy Bear makes a guest appearance. Hopefully this video will knock Alanis Morrisette’s version of “My Humps” off the viral video podium. Either way you can’t lose.

Really makes me long wonder what “Rainbow Connection” was really about.
