We liked much of Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not but the majority of the album left us with an NME hangover. We woke up from the haze of the album’s publicity blitz naked in a gutter wondering through our blacked outness and trying to piece together whether or not Whatever was a good time or whether we just got really drunk and passed out naked.

Either way, I suppose it leads to a good time. Well, with their new album due out April 24, tracks from the forthcoming Arctic Monkey’s album, Favourite Worst Nightmare, have begun to leak. CallmeMickey has one of the first tracks “Brainstorm.” Meh. It’s not just a clever title, it really sounds just like a storm inside my brain, like a bunch of monkey’s playing instruments and not knowing what to do with them. I guess sublety isn’t their strong suit.
