The 2012 Oscar nominations, which include War Horse, The Artist, Moneyball, The Descendants, The Tree of Life, Midnight in Paris, The Help, Hugo, and Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close as the Best Picture contenders pretty much confirms the notion that this has been a terrible year for “good” movies.
That’s a putrid list. The biggest snub, however, has to be The Adventures of Tin Tin not being nominated for Best Animated feature, while the likes of Kung Fu Panda 2 and Puss in Boots were. Good lord.
