Yes, this is a shaky cam version of the trailer, which isn’t actually going to debut until sometime this week (why they wouldn’t just release the trailer simultaneously is beyond me). But you really get a good sense of what Fincher is trying to go with in his adaptation.
We could probably talk a lot about comparing this to the original Swedish movie and to the book. But Fincher is a master and it’s nice to see him return to his grimey, crime-thriller roots. The cast looks exceptional and how can you top Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Trent Reznor covering Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song.”
Also, that tagline is great! The feel bad movie of Christmas? Yes, please. [via pajiba]
