Piracy is Bad Unless You’re a Movie Studio Stealing Someone Else’s Work

The story of novelist Joe Quirk, whose novel “Ultimate Rush” is being adapted into a Sony Pictures movie “Premium Rush”, is a really unfortunate story. Basically, Quirk had his novel stolen — including characters, plot, etc. — by the Hollywood film studio and isn’t seeing a dime from the adaptation. And there doesn’t seem to be much he can do about it.

It’s probably just a big misunderstanding on the studio’s part. *scoffs*
