“It’s interesting to see a national press tour from the point of view of the filmmaker. I love the shots where the people, journalists, so many people I know or recognize, change in rapid cuts, but the background remains almost static,” writes Peter Sciretta over at Slashfilm. And I would agree!
I’m not sure if this does anything to sway my ambivalence towards Jason Reitman, but The Clash is a nice touch; the criminally underrated Thank Your For Smoking goes a long way toward washing out the turgid manipulations of Juno from my mouth (it’s finally taken Whip It! for me to remember why I didn’t hate Ellen Page in the first place) anyways.
Still! This is enjoyable and meaningless fluff, like interviewing actors and directors.
