The Sorcerer’s Apprentice Trailer

So. I don’t know what I was expecting out of this trailer for the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced, Nic Cage-starring Sorcerer’s Apprentice Disney movie based on the famed segment from Fantasia.

Loosely based would be more like it. All in all, I think Bruckheimer has created an interesting world here and I’m intrigued to see what they do with this property.

It could be fun, it could be shit, and then there is the Nic Cage factor. It also worries me that they are slapping their figurative, CGI-laden manhood onto a table and shouting “be impressed!”

I'm a bit shocked that hasn't happened yet. Wicker Man is perfect for midnight screenings. Actually, I'm pretty sure I said that while watching it in the theater, "can't wait to see this at midnight."

"It could be fun, it could be shit" – I vote the latter. Unless at some point someone dumps bees on his face. In that case I'm going to the midnight screening dressed in my apiarist suit. Which reminds me, when are they going to start screening The Wicker Man at midnight? Universe, get on that.
