Watchmen set design video
Zack Snyder has been doing an incredible job keeping fans of Watchmen in the loop, as far as casting, costumes and the general direction of the film. Over the weekend, he releases the first of 12 proposed video journals. This one focuses upon set designer Alex McDowell and takes us into Dr. Manhattan’s laboratory, The Comedian’s apartment, etc.
Kudos for leaking information slowly without giving away the big reveal. Warner Brothers marketing department should be commended. What impresses me is the desire to build a world. So much effort and care went into these sets. This is real artistry to make the movie feel lived in and real.
