Springfield, VT. wins “Simpsons” premiere

Now, we should point out that this doesn’t mean the fictional town of Springfield is based on Springfield, VT., only that the town of 9,300 people have won a contest to host the premiere of The Simpsons: The Movie. 

Congratulations Vermonters.
