Funnyman Steve Carell just keeps moving along.? Even the abismal failure of Evan Almighty can’t slow him down.? No sooner had that flick dropped a turd on the box office, did people start talking about the trailer for next summer’s Get Smart.?
But before that summer franchise in the waiting flick gets released he has one coming out this October.? Dan in Real Life sees widower and parenting columnist Carell trying to raise three daughters on his own.? When he falls in love again with no less than Juliette Binoche he soon finds out that she is his brother’s girlfriend.? Hijinks and hillarity ensue.
(Can we please put an end to using Pete Townshend’s “Let My Love Open the Door” for trailers and so forth?? I think there needs to be an embargo on this, since it’s like a shortcut to emotive power.)
This one also stars Dane Cook, who were not convinced should be allowed to do anything, Emily Blunt (stole the show in last year’s The Devil Wears Prada), John Mahoney, Dianne Wieste and Norbert Leo Butz.
Carell can mug for a poster like no one else.? Thanks to Cinematical for the heads up.
Them pancakes look mighty comfortable.? Dan in Real Life plops down for breakfast on 10.19.
