I believe that I deserve the game most of all because I am the only one here who has sat through the Sci Fi Channel made for TV movie: “Grendel.” It was 1.5 hours of pure, unadulterated, low budget, digitized carnage. I waited and WAITED for it to get better, but it never, ever did. I sincerely believe that this makes me the biggest “Beowulf” fan of all, and clearly, the most deserving.

Getting this game would rock for me. My life is largely comprised of grad school, work, and family stuff. I haven’t even had a chance to play my PS2 in over a month, to the point where my wife has spent more time with it. This game would provide some much needed distraction. Plus, it’s FREAKIN’ BEOWULF, one of the first/greatest “superhero versus the monsters” stories of all time!!! Even our cat wants me to have this game!

Hello!

I think I should be the winner of this awesome video game for one reason – it will give me time to relax and do something I like to do. Unlike some contestants whose wives allow them to play games twice a week, my wife allows me no such luxory. I can’t even get a sick day. I NEED this game. I need to walk in the door and say, “Honey, I won this game, and I need to play it. People are depending on me. You’re going to need to watch the baby until I gain control of my kingdom.” Then I’ll have to sleep on the couch, but I’ll get to play more Beowulf. Please, for the love of all that is good, please help me.

I am recently retired and this game is exactly what I need. It will add a whole new dimension of physical activity to my couch-potato routine, that I so richly deserve after 40 years of public service.

Wow, getting your wife to vouch for you is lame. I’m actually Jonathan’s coworker. And while yes he probably is a great dad, he is by no means a hardcore gamer such as myself. I own a PS3 as opposed to jonathan’s PS2 and Wii combo. So it’s easy to say where the graphics would look ’sweeter’. On top of that his rare projection tv, while looking nice does not compare to my 52″ Sony XBR LCD. Besides, being the family man, he should be spending ever minute with his daughter…. they grow up fast!

Hey – My husband should be your winner! He totally deserves this video game. We have a 5 month old daughter so we basically have time for nothing else except working full time and caring for the baby. Jon’s only “me” time comes on Sunday and Wednesday nights when he plays Socom with some buddies for a couple hours on his PS2. It would be really cool for him to have a new game to play while he escapes reality (and a cranky baby) for a little while. Plus we just bought a new tv and the graphics would look pretty sweet on a big screen. But awesome graphics aside, he really should win because he’s an awesome dad and deserves a few hours of fun each week.
