Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman‘s huge inflatable sculpture, appropriately named Rubber Duck, will sail into Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong and be on display until June 9. Hofman’s famous duck, which stands 16.5 meters high, has floated in waters around the world, including: Sydney, Osaka, and Sao Paolo. This is the very first time it has ever been in Hong Kong.
“My sculptures cause an uproar, astonishment and put a smile on your face,” says the artist. “They give people a break from their daily routines. Passers-by stop in front of them and enter into conversation with other spectators. People are making contact with each other again.”
