New Jack the Ripper Theory

Trevor Marriott, a former homicide detective in England, posits that Jack the Ripper was a German sailor from Karlsruhe.

Marriott says he has used modern policing methods to overturn many of the old assumptions about the Ripper murders and gathered evidence that points to [Carl] Feigenbaum, who was eventually convicted and executed for murdering Juliana Hoffmann in New York in 1894.

“There is a case for suggesting he might have been the first trans-continental serial killer,” Marriott says.

Marriott’s theory, which posits Feigenbaum committed similar crimes in Germany and one in New York City, which he was later convicted of, is incredibly fascinating and would make for a pretty riveting movie.
