Rovio and 20th Century Fox have teamed up to create a new game, Angry Birds Rio! The game will launch with 45 dedicated levels with regular updates lined up for the future. The game will be available for download on smart phones and tablets.
Looks like Rovio and the creators of Rio have mastered the art of the superhero team-up. Rovio sells a butt-load more of it’s famous game, and 20th Century Fox attaches it’s so-so looking animated bird movie to a beloved property. It’s evil corporate synergistic genius at its best.
I have a six-year-old nephew who recently got an ear infection and all he wanted to do was sit on the couch and play the “flying bird” game. It made him happy and took his mind of his painful ear infection. The power of Angry Birds. And now, he’ll probably want to go see Rio because of it. [via fark]
