GM’s Hy-Wire Concept Car

BBC’s James May test drives the GM Hy-Wire concept car. The car uses hydrogen fuel cell propulsion and drive “by-wire” technology. Call me cynical, but GM said in 2003 they would have this car commercially viable by 2010.  Which isn’t the case.  Still, it’s perhaps more amazing that automotive engine technology hasn’t radically changed since the days of the Model T. [Thanks, Ben!]

This clip was made in 2002. GM said we should see the car in production in 2010. Any update on this vehicle?
