Drew Brees: To “the Equipment Managers That Rub Down Those Balls”

Last night, Saints quarterback Drew Brees  broke Dan Marino’s 27-year-old single-season passing record after capping the game with a 9-yard touchdown pass. Brees ended the game with 5,087 yards on the season and still has one more game to play. Marino finished the 1984 season with 5,084 yards.

Anyway, this is as fine a speech as you’ll likely hear from a guy who just set an NFL record.

What’s crazy, is that another quarterback could also pass Marino’s record this season. Tom Brady needs less than 200 yards passing in his final game to pass Marino as well.
