For starters, I had no idea Dennis Rodman made the basketball hall of fame, but it’s a deserved award for the best rebounder and defensive player of his generation. Rodman couldn’t play on the offensive end, and he was something of a loose canon, but it just goes to show that if you can do one or two things really well in the NBA you’ll find a nice career.
And while MJ might have been the best player of his generation, the two speeches from the players couldn’t have been further apart in their awesomeness. Jordan came across like a petulant child, while Rodman takes the time to thank everyone that made his career possible, apologized for his personal shortcomings and promised to be a better man. Great stuff. [via guyism]
